The Whitewater High School German Program was proud to have two interns from the German
Consulate General in Atlanta for a visit. Frau Loeser und Frau Schmidt gave a wonderful presentation about Germany in
German and answered Questions from the students. The presentation covered various aspects of German history, culture
and geography. The students were super excited that they understood almost everything and many remarked about how wonderful
it was to have them visit. They also handed out a number of goodies to the students which were appreciated by the students.
One thing is sure, the German Consulate made some new friends at Whitewater!
Kiddy USA becomes fourth member of
the Whitewater High School's "School to Work Intiative". Kiddy USA is a family-owned and managed Company for over 40 years, located in Bavaria, Germany.
Kiddy specializes
in the providing a number of high end products designed to "mobilize children", such as strollers and car seats.
The Whitewater High School's College Connection Program seeks to establish partnerships
with local Universities and Colleges to promote the learning of Languages at the college level and to better
inform students about the many options available to them. Through this program, High School students
are provided opportunities to visit local college campuses, speak with financial aid advisors
and general college counselors, sit in on college level language courses and talk with language
professors at the university level. Additionally, students receive valuable insight into
the university level's admission processes and what to prepare for and think about when considering studying
at a college or university in Georgia. Just as our School to Work Initiative seeks to connect students
with the working world, this program seeks to connect students with higher education.

Whitewater High School German Program is proud to announce that one of our students has recieved the Käthe Wilson Memorial
Scholarship and will spend two weeks in Germany this summer. The Purpose of this Honor Society is to recognize those
